About

Albany House is a Georgian townhouse guesthouse at 84-85 Harcourt Street in the heart of Dublin 2, just three minutes’ walk from St Stephen’s Green and steps from the Harcourt Street Luas stop.

A Georgian Landmark on Harcourt Street

Built in the 18th century, Albany House was originally part of the estate belonging to the Earl of Clonmel, one of Dublin’s most prominent Georgian-era figures. The building stands on Harcourt Street – named after Simon Harcourt, 1st Earl Harcourt – one of the finest Georgian streets on Dublin’s southside, running from the top of St Stephen’s Green towards the suburbs beyond the Grand Canal.

Over the centuries, the townhouse has been carefully maintained and extensively renovated, preserving the original Georgian proportions – high ceilings, elegant plasterwork, and generous windows – while adding the comforts today’s guests expect. The result is a guesthouse that feels distinctly Dublin: characterful, welcoming, and quietly different from the city’s larger chain hotels.

Individually Styled Rooms

Every room at Albany House is individually styled, reflecting the Georgian character of the building. From cosy Classic Doubles to spacious Deluxe rooms, each space features period furnishings, soft lighting, and its own personality – no two rooms are quite alike.

All rooms include free high-speed Wi-Fi, flat-screen TV, en-suite bathroom, tea and coffee making facilities, workspace, hairdryer, and complimentary toiletries. Lift access is available to all floors.
